Mission Roatán

Our Mission

As an organization, our mission is simple: We aim to help the people of Honduras in any way we can with love, compassion, and humility. In the past, we have done this by completing small projects to benefit whole communities, contributing to education expenses, leading mission teams from the United States, and forming genuine and lasting connections and friendships with the people of Roatán. Presently, as we are no longer located on the island, we rely more and more on these connections to continue our work in Honduras. We continue to contribute to education expenses, to support the work of local leaders who share our aims and ideals, and to lead small teams from the United States to maintain these connections and help with any needs. We often find that the American teens and adults who participate in these trips return with changed perspectives, increased empathy and understanding, and a greater worldview, so we would add that another of our aims is to foster the cross-cultural connections that lead to these kinds of changes.
